Lois McMaster Bujold's "Barrayar" (1991) did
win the Hugo for novel.  "Shards of Honor"
was published in 1986 and several Miles books
came out in between, plus "Ethan of Athos" (1986)
and "Falling Free" (1988).  I did find
my omnibus "Cordelia's Honor" that combines
"Shards of Honor" and "Barrayar".
