[nesfa-reading-group] Moving the day.

Im going to propose that we move our meetings to the first Friday of the month, starting in September, at the next Business Meeting on June 11, 2017. If you have any objections, I suggest you voice them to this list before then, for further discussion. Otherwise, the proposed change will be implemented.

I thought meeting on Friday might be holding back attendance, but it sounds like Friday is fine. With my having only one meeting in the NRG week, I would be able to make any day, including Friday.

If you all think moving the day to Thursday would be good for the group, then go ahead. I can attend on Thursdays somewhere between zero and twice per year when my band rehearsal is cancelled.

I'd like to hear if "First Friday" works for most people.

Tuesdays are out for me for ~2/3 of the year; Fridays are out ~1/8. If Friday is a problem for getting us new members, I'd suggest Thursday (which I would still miss, but maybe as little as 1/3 of the time).

At least a couple of us try to go to two different book clubs and they are scheduled within three or four days of each other. We should spread them out.
Also another issue is that Friday evenings seem not to be optimal for acquiring more members.
The other group meets on the third Tuesday. What do you think of moving the NRG either to the first Friday each month or maybe the first Tuesday?
