I don't know why that Le Guin novel isn't better known. I remember<br>
when I read all her novels that had been published by about 1980,<br>
A Wizard of Earthsea and City of Illusions were my favorite (I didn't<br>
fully appreciate Left Hand of Darkness until recently.) I reread City<br>
of Illusions this week and was not disappointed.  And it was very<br>
early Le Guin.<br>

Note: It's not as easy to find editions of it under its own title. It's<br>
easier to find in the anthology of three Hainish novels by Le Guin<br>
called Worlds of Exile and Illusion. (It's also included in a lesser<br>
known edition called Three Hainish Novels). The book itself is only<br>
210 pages.<br>
