Hi all,
for those of you not present at the last meeting (and just for the record, for those who were), the book for July will be Ghost Talkers, by our Boskone 55 GOH, Mary Robinette Kowal.

We have elected not to meet in August, due to scheduling conflicts.

The book for September is Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell. We are attempting to hold a special Media Day in September, with a viewing of the excellent BBC mini-series based on the book. Since the last weekend each month tends to be available, would people be able to make it on either Saturday the 30th  or Sunday October 1st? For those of you not familiar with the mini-series, it runs just under 8 hours, and will take up the better part of the day. Any preferences for a viewing time? My suggestion would be noon to 8pm, with discussion to follow, but we could work out a different schedule if people prefer. (We might want to schedule a break for dinner in there somewhere)

Another option would be to show the first episode or two directly after our discussion on Friday, September 15th, then show the rest at the end of the month.

A third option would be to show the mini-series in two four hour viewing sessions.

If you have any ideas, suggestions, feel free to post them to the list.

Really looking forward to the book & mini-series!
Best wishes,
Mike S.
