[nesfa-reading-group] What’cha think about a virtual Reading Group test?

Before we meet virtually to discuss The Light Brigade in early May. I’d like to run a test virtual meeting at which we’ll discuss a short story. 

Email me back letting me know If Friday 4/10 or Friday 4/17 better for you. 

We’ll read and discuss a story available online so it’ll be easy for everyone to get. I like the name of this one: The Secret Life of Bots by Suzanne Palmer.

For video chatting, we’ll use https://jitsi.org/, a Zoom-like video conferencing client. No accounts, no logins, no passwords, encrypted end to end, just hop on, start a meeting, inform others of the virtual meeting room’s name, and get to video chatting. 

When using a computer, jitsi runs through your web browser. You can download the jitsi app for apple and android smartphones and tablets.

I don’t have a zoom account and I don’t like the idea of creating a new meeting every 40 minutes.
