Interesting that I received the second message Dave sent before I received the first.

 

When I looked up this meeting on Meetup, I saw a button something like "Join online meeting". I was concerned that Meetup might give Zoom information, allowing the meeting to be Zoombombed (hijacked, I don't know why it was necessary to invent a new word). So, I signed up for the meeting under the pseudonym “Halsey Taylor” to see. It just gave me the Meetup page for the meeting, nothing about Zoom. So, don’t be concerned if you see the name “Halsey Taylor” on the meeting page. If “Halsey Taylor” sounds familiar do you know why?

In case you wonder about my comment about the date and time, I figure out what I did.


For one thing, I pasted in that date/time lines from the zoom meeting list it saves and forgot to remove the comment about them being missing.


And the original text was taken from its attempt to store it in my Google calendar, which isn't what I wanted, but which didn't include the date and time in the text because that info was contained in the block on the calendar.

This is my first "Scheduled" meeting, so let's see if it works tomorrow a bit before 7PM.  I set it up so people can "join before start of meeting", so you won't be denied connection if you come in a bit early.


If it doesn't work, I can send a "Meeting Now" message that I know works.
