Are there any Sci-Fi novels published nowadays which are not part of a series??

Well, since a quick lookup on the web shows the book along with "Venus Ascendant #1", I'd say it is a series.

And even more evocative, one of the sites says: "The first in a ground breaking new science fiction series from the best-selling author of The Quantum Magician"

I've read it; it's quite good. Be aware that it feels like the first book of a series.

In case I forget; a suggestion for one of our next series of books to read:

The House of Styx by Derek Künsken

Although this was serialized in Analog, I have not read it. It just seems interesting from the description:
“In the swirling clouds of Venus, the families of  la colonie live on floating plant-like trawlers, salvaging what they can in the fierce acid rain and crackling storms. Outside is dangerous, but humankind’s hold on the planet is fragile and they spend most of their days simply surviving.
But Venus carries its own secrets, too. In the depths, there is a wind that shouldn’t exist.
And the House of Styx wants to harness it. ”
