The overall conclusion was that a person needed to have read previous novels in the series to appreciate the book. Shelly did not read previous novels, so did not want to give rating. Wes did not read previous novels, gave rating based on personal opinion, not as a critic. Previous novels which were not first in a series were easier to follow than this.

Plus Tracy Marks showed up after System Collapse was discussed, she did not read it.
