Oh wonderful! That will bring me back to the group. (I'm very selective
about the books I read). One of the other sci fi/fantasy meetups read
The Forgotten Beasts of Eld earlier in the year, when I read it for the
first time. McKillip is a very lyrical fantasy writer, and has a light
touch.
I'm so glad you chose this book.
