I don't attend regularly - 4-5 times a year at most, am very selective about books I read and am in seven books clubs, which I also attend irregularly.
But the second Friday of the month is fine with me. I go to an online a creative writing group the third Friday of every month, but the second Friday is open.
It does make sense to skip July 4th, which is likely to contribute to a long summer weekend for many people...And August is always an "iffy" month for attendance anyway since so many people take vacations then.
Will be there for the early March meeting.

I don't know how likely I am to continue with this group however moving both meetings seems to make sense for many reasons.
Unless moving August conflicts with worldcon....

I won't be at the March meeting as I'll be in UTC+2 and (I hope) asleep, so I'll comment now. (I'll comment on the book later.) I'd be happy to see the July meeting moved, as I'm likely to be busy on the 4th; if we move July, also moving August allows 4 weeks to read the August book, and 4 weeks for the September book if the September meeting is on the usual first Friday.

Our "first Friday of the month" Reading Group meeting in July falls on July 4th this year. Should we leave it there or postpone it a week to July 11th? Either one is fine with me.
Also, our Friday August 1st meeting falls on a day when I am likely to be traveling in Germany. We haven't chosen an August book yet, and I could always skip that meeting, but we could also bump that meeting by a week.
I seek opinions on both meeting dates. We can discuss both at the March 7th meeting (or later meetings).
