While either evening will work for me, I vote for April 10, for the same reason "The Other David" did.

Let's do the 10th. That way if it works I can get off my ass and start reading The Light Brigade with enough time.

Stay health and safe,

Either day works for me.

Before we meet virtually to discuss The Light Brigade in early May. I’d like to run a test virtual meeting at which we’ll discuss a short story.

Email me back letting me know If Friday 4/10 or Friday 4/17 better for you.

We’ll read and discuss a story available online so it’ll be easy for everyone to get. I like the name of this one: The Secret Life of Bots by Suzanne Palmer.

For video chatting, we’ll use https://jitsi.org/, a Zoom-like video conferencing client. No accounts, no logins, no passwords, encrypted end to end, just hop on, start a meeting, inform others of the virtual meeting room’s name, and get to video chatting.

When using a computer, jitsi runs through your web browser. You can download the jitsi app for apple and android smartphones and tablets.

I don’t have a zoom account and I don’t like the idea of creating a new meeting every 40 minutes.

Thanks to James Boggie and Robert Luoma for helping come up with and refine the idea.
